Meaning of the baby name KASTARITE.
king of Carucassi (probably the Caucasus). In conjunction with
Mamitarsu, king of the Medes, the Cimmerians, Minnians, and people of
Saparda (Sepharad) on the Black Sea, he attacked Assyria, took many of its
cities, and finally, with the help of Nabopolassar, destroyed Nineveh and
the Assyrian empire. Kastarite is the Kyaxares of the Greeks. (An Archaic Dictionary, Cooper, 1876).
