Meaning of the baby name SELK.
Egyptian goddess, an unidentified form of the goddess Isis. She was
also one of the protecting goddesses of the human body, and as such her
name was placed on the vase of Kabhsenuf. Selk was generally
represented as a woman with a scorpion upon her head, that insect being
